hair cut

so, local friends, where am i going to go and get my hair cut?  i caught sight of myself today in a mirror when we were out, and oh my god my hair is halfway down my back.

i feel that i need to get it cut very short.  i know that it may not all fall out, but the quacks and the nurses have made it clear that it is very likely to all fall out.  so i don't want my precious long hair to do that. i want me some short hair.

but seeing as this is going to be a disposable (as it were) haircut, i don't want to pay a fortune. but at the same time, i want to look as good as possible while i still have it, or in the vague chance that it doens't all decide to leave me. 

what do haircuts cost these days, anyway?

How about a haircut as a present from us? My hairdresser (Lynn at Medusa) did a fab short cut on a friend of mine recently.

Supercuts do them for 15-25 quid depending on length/day of the week (or stylist doing the estimating/how busy they are/whether they are having a good day) and they're generally competent but nothing fancy.
