just googled for things to do for earth day for preschoolers in washington dc.

when i got sidetracked by one of the pages that came up i discovered that homeschooling doesn't seem to have the same meaning here as in the UK. there are loads of things to do in anne arundel county, including going to *classes*, organised "Music, motor skills, yoga, art" huh? i thought homeschooling (or home educating as i'm more used to hearing it called) was about taking personal responsibility for what your kids learn, and devoting yourself to it as a full time thing, not taking them to some class for others to do it for you.

am i missing something here?
