went N a while ago. I had decreed a nap, he disagreed. So I let him yell, since he was angry, right?

eventually of course, i give up and go back in. his foot is stuck in the bars of his cot. foot released, boobie applied and little boy is sleeping.

never mind, in 2 weeks he will be sleeping in a big boy's bed. he'll have to find another excuse.

he _is_ an odd boy though, i made chocolate chip cookies today, which are yummy (i think it would be impossible to make ones that aren't yummy), but he spurns them for ritz crackers.

TT & I are not spurning them though, and if we aren't careful there will be none left for daddy.

We got on the transatlantic flight. TT asked what the seats to the left were - oh, that's first class, we told him. Then he asked what the seats we were walking through were, we told him they were business class. By the time we got to our seats, he'd decided that they were the "last class"

And by the time we got off the plane, he'd decided that planes have three sections, First Class, Middle Class & Last Class.

And so they do.

a long day

in which i seemed to end up doing everything all by myself.

i made chocolate chip cookies, all by myself. they watched telly.

we ate lunch together.

N had the aforementioned enforced nap. TT played with his train set.

TT got bored and wanted to watch more telly. I suggested we re-pot the seedlings. this took a while. TT got bored and wandered off. N woke up (well, I woke him up, poor kid, I insisted he take a nap, then 75 minutes later I'm in there thorwing open curtains, shouting "rise & shine") N cried a lot. TT helped some more with the repotting. N cried some. We went out into the garden to get some gravel for the pots. TT played some. N cried some. eventually N played in the sandbox.

I finished up the repottng of the jalapeno plants, then repotted the damn peace lily. it says propagate by splitting and repotting. have you ever tried to split one of those bastards? ack!

it is now in two pots. I won.

then potted the hibiscus & anthurium that B brought home. hope they live. then potted up the coleus seedlings. hope they live. i've never grown houseplants from seed before.

then i made their tea. N ate the chicken & the pasta. TT ate the pasta. neither ate the peas. at least though TT didn't pick them up one at a time and throw them at sundry targets around the kitchen, which I didn't notice until TT pointed it out. Clipe.

they are both playing now. N is amazingly, not crying. I'm tired, and am already on my second glass of wine.

sooo.....I think I'm going to be a SAHM, do I? It'll only be N most of the time, but am I sure I'm ready for this?

PS: anyone interested in a bunch of lambs lettuce seedlings? don't know what possessed me to buy the seeds, since our garden is a slug breeding ground, and planting them out there would just increase the slug number 10-fold. The seedlings seem quite healthy. I like lambs lettuce in salad. That must be why I bought the seeds. Ho hum.
