i dug some potatoes this afternoon. and washed them and boiled them and we ate them for tea.

and i made this cabbage thing with onion, balsamic vinegar and lots of celery salt. and it was really good. sort of sour and salty and yummy. i didn't even try to feed it to the boys. just me and bill.

and spoke to my cousin. my auntie is starting chemo for inoperable lung cancer. which is just so so so shitty, because if ever a woman needed a break, it's her.

and i really need to find a cheerful book to read to send me to sleep in the right frame of mind...
