Jan. 12th, 2006 11:19 pmso, it seems that cover stitching really requires a clear head and the ability to concentrate. and being dog tired and emotionally wobbly don't help. so i won't be doing any more sewing tonight. however, it looks fantastic - I was doing test pieces (you have to do a lot more test peices with this machine, not once at the beginning of the project, but every time you change sewing modes) using the embroidery threads that i used for the rockets and stars. it looked great with the three threads, but they aren't strong enough, and I don't think the cottons I have will be strong enough either, and i don't think i have the right colours in polyester. will have to think again.
but damn is that cover stitch wonderful!
and Bill is home tomorrow. or at least he should be. his flight for amsterdam is due to leave in an hour, but new mobile or not, he hasn't bloody bothered to let me know. he finally admitted two days ago that he had forgotten to pack his charger. twit.
the kitchen is a shit heap and since I will be collecitng him immedaitely after dropping TT at school, I suppose I should do someting about it. no matter how well he knows me I still feel I have to hide my slovenliness from him. and there's also the fact it's not very nice to come home to a shitheap when you've been away for a (almost) week.
dishes here i come....
