happy new year

 hmm, yesterday the oven and grill stopped working.  they light, but don't get hot.  we can keep anything you like warm, but we can't bake or roast.

this morning, there was a horrendous BANG! while I was in the shower.  I looked at my feet and saw a 10" crack running across the shower tray.  i think i managed to rinse all the soap and shampoo before i got out.  and i don't see any drips downstairs, so hopefully i got the water turned off in time.

however, yesterday we had the most wonderful new year party.  a few very important people were missing and would have made it even better, but we did have a lovely time.  and will be doing it again next year i'm sure.

i've already told Bill, so I'd better make it official...

I said that I would spend twice as much time making things as I do on the computer.

hmm, i think i owe the creative side of me about 4 hours already!
