(no subject)

TT has been talking about new chores now that he is 6, and says that it should be N's chore to feed the fish now (I'm not sure that's such a good idea after last week's episode) and TT's to feed Quirk.  Quirk is slightly less nervous of the boys now, but still doesn't trust them very much.  I think that TT wants her to like him so he hopes that feeding her will help.  somehow I doubt it, but you never know.

We will have to wait quite some time for this, but he says that when N turns 4, it will be N's chore to set the table, and TT's chore to clear and wipe it.  hallelujah.  does anyone believe him?  maybe when he's 16, as opposed to 6!

amazing the conversations that can happen over after school snack.  he had just done a fab job on his spelling homework (2 weeks in a row of 6 out of 6, and "because"* FINALLY conquered) and was feeling v.good about himself.


if anyone else is having trouble with becasue:  big elephants can always use small exits  (and no, i don't have trouble spelling it, just typing it!)

i've been invited to my friend Ruth's book launch!  it's not until the 19th of feb, so plenty of time to be excited.  a novel.  wow.   whee!  a book launch, I've never been to one before.  I suppose it's a bit like an exhibition opening, so I suppose I'll know how to behave.
