no rabies here. no claws either, hah!

Quirk has returned from her second visit to the vet in as many weeks.  she's now had her rabies vaccination. and all her claws clipped. hah! little madam lacerated me something awful this morning when i was putting her in her box.  took at least 15 minutes for one of the "scratches" to stop bleeding. i've still got a plaster on, just in case.

sh has two more vet visits, then up to a week in kennels, so I decided that blunt claws would be the order of the day.

she is so seriously pissed off at me now!

the car is in the garage. the exhaust started blowing yesterday. we are hoping for a short term fix, becasue paying £1300 for a new exhaust on a car that we will be parting company with in about a month is not top of our agenda.  especially for a car that is worth about £1800.  don't get me wrong, if we were keeping it, we would pay it without question, the car will probably last another 150,000 miles and we would have kept it for every single one of them.  but it's high mileage already for its year, and not in the most immaculate state, so not worth very much.

damn.  guess none of you are going to buy it from us now.

the 39 sleeps

if i can count, and I believe that I can - it's 39 sleeps until we leave for santiago, all being well.  hopefully there will be no drama worthy of a john buchan novel in the meantime, but I'm going to try and post here every day for those 39, because i might want to look back on these days and laugh, someday...
