Dad's Birthday Blanket

Forgot about this, it's my dad's 70th birthday present. a cotton acrylic blanket in Armstrong Tartan. The chart came from the Australian Women's Weekly Book of "Easy Crochet Tartan Rugs". Yeah, ok, easy. But he didn't get it until 2 months *after* his birthday it took so damn long to make"!

thanks! it is, i was really pleased with it, and the colours in the yarn were fantastic. it's cotton & acrylic, but in two separate plys, so there's a matte and a shiny. yeah. nice blanket, and many months of evenings in it!

thank you! i do really like it, but not enough to ever do another full sized one! it's a combination of crochet mesh and weaving, so it's really thick and sturdy. if it was made of hedavier yarn it could be used as a rug. if my dad walks on it i'll kill him though!

i'm working on details of tartans in wire now.
