we took the trailer tent to its new owners in motherwell, so while we were in lanarkshire we decided to go to new lanark. unfortunately, it was their victorian fair day, instead of a normal day, so we didn't actually see much of new lanark, just looked at a few stalls, had a cup of tea and a sticky bun. and went into the shop (of course)
where i found a kilo pack of aran wool/silk in the colour denim, that they had forgotten to change the price on!!!!! so i got it for the old price of £18 instead of the new price of £29.50.
i looked. hard. it was the only one. they did have 500gm packs of 100% wool in peach for £9. but i managed to restrain myself, becasue I don't actually like peach. that's not to say i hadn't picked a pack up and carried it round for 10 minutes before i came to my senses, though.
so, three large things left home today, the tent, and also the old high chair and the guilt inducing patio heater went via freecycle. we are clearing the decks, slowly but surely.
