I did it! I seamed the seams, and the pullover is finished!
here are pictures (excuse poor quality):
one of the pullover all by itself when it was completely finished,
and one with N trying it on before I had woven the last few ends in.
I couldn't wait until morning to get him to try it on, so he had to do
it before bedtime.
I don't think he was particularly interested.
this is my very first ever hand knitted pullover that I have actually finished! and I designed it all by myself. well, ok, thank you knitware. but it was my idea!

oh, now here's a thought - if I'm thinking about knitting or sewing or stuff, I would normally use the daisies pictures, or possibly the tangled yarn. but this post is about motherhood too. think i'll stick with the motherhood one.
