we went to see noddy today. it cost £15.50. if i'd have been cleverer, it would have been £11

we got to the ticket desk, me & TT on foot, N asleep in buggy. ticket person says "one adult & one child?" "oh no", I said, "he's two" fuckwit. that cost me £4.50.

considering we went in and TT didn't want to see noddy, didn't want to sit in noddy's car, didn't want to do anything except play in the soft play and eat ice cream i wish i'd saved my money.

they went into the soft play when we got there, then we went (with N kicking and screaming in the buggy as he hadn't wanted to leave) and watched stuff, then got ice cream (N didn't want his, so I ate it), then went and watched stuff again, we did a tiny little bit of dancing, but not up near the stage, then we went back to the soft play.

there was a guy helping the kids inside the soft play, N needed help to get up to the top and then after coming down the slide to get out of the ballpool. on his last go, he actually managed to get up to the top level on his own. then i think me and the guy had a misunderstanding, N was trying to get out of the ballpool, i'm standing outside and encouraging him, "you can do it, come on, out you come" so the guy pulled him out and handed him out the door to me. i was then too embarrassed to say anything or put him back in. and as soon as TT saw N out, he came out too, because today he is "being a good boy".

poor N kicked and screamed again until TT pointed out an airplane in the sky. but still, it was a lot of kicking and screming, and a mclaren buggy is hard enough to pilot over rutted hayfield at the best of times without human whirlwind inside it. phew.

by the time we got back to the car he'd forgotten all about it. i felt pretty shitty though becasue after al that trying he'd finally managed to climb up, and then he was hauled out without getting to do it over and over again. stupid mother twice over.

anyway, we got home at 4.30 which was about right for TT's medicine. 10 days of antibiotics this is unbelieveable. i really do hope it's actually necessary and not just a pill happy quack.

anyway, tea was fab, if i say so myself, chicken broccoli & gnocci in mascarpone & parmesan sauce. then they both had baths, and both went to bed with no tears from any of the three of us. still took a while, but it happened.

and i have to get up for work tomorrow. 3 more days. well, probably only 2.5, since i think i will still have 4 hours of toil left... the impetigo is cleared up, although i did read somewhere that it is infectious for ten days!! but everywhere else said 2 days after starting treatmnet, and that's what the pill happy quack said too. as long as he isn't oozing anywhere in the morning, he can go back. (no, Alison, you may not take a day's parental leave tomorrow!)

ack, gotta get up for work!!!
