thereyougothenwell. not the best day ever. not the worst either, but that fact
has slipped my mind now that we have just gone through BEDTIME again.
at least N slept all night last night for the first time in weeks. i think he knew that hismother would have run away from home is he hadn't.
TT hates his medicine. by the last dose, i had to rugby tackle him and squirt it in with a syringe (about which he was disgusted becasue those are for babies)
we had gone to innerleithen to buy a book today (this one) don't laugh! i mean the *vogue* guide to macrame? i had to look. saw it on ebay, so i checked abebooks, and it was avaialbe in a shop in innerleithen, now in case you don't know this, innerleithen also has a lovely lovely ice cream shop.
so off we went. and came home with 5 books and two very sticky boys. the sun was shining, i poured myself a gin atomic and sat knitting in the garden wheile they played.
i'm not going to say much about the evening, because it was pretty crap. for instance, we often cook salmon. it's always really nice, no matter how we cook it. tonight it was shite. we all ate extra mashed potatoes and carrots to make up for it. and i suppose the fact that we ate in the garden makes up for it.
bedtime was NOT NICE. no stories were read. big boy was just a total wee shite, and little boy just did everything that big boy did.
perhaps i will have another gin. we have to be up VERY EARLY tomorrow becasue Liam is coming over for breakfast and to play while his mummy goes to work.
blah. i miss Bill.
