THE SAMPLE COLLECTION
SAMPLE COLLECTION I - PERFECT SHIRTS - £69
A day giving lots of tips and techniques used in every day shirts, dresses and blouses. You will start the day by constructing a mitred sleeve placket, it only takes minutes. Next comes the construction of collars and cuffs from light weight silk and polyesters to the most professional tailored two-piece collar and band. Tips will include superb corners, mitred points, cross graining collar canvasses and contouring shirt stands on the machine.Ever wondered why your collar doesn’t fit onto the neckline or cuffs exactly at the bottom of your sleeve? How do men's shirts have such an even top stitch around such a curved neck band, with no ridges? All to be revealed.
Samples will also be made of shirt plackets, clever silk facings with no bulk, firm gimp buttonholes and a selection of finishes to include flat felled seams and no wrinkle curved hems.
